Moon Valley Med Spa

Areas We Serve

A Med Spa in the North Mountain Neighborhood

Two minutes from the Lookout Mountain trailhead and five from North Mountain Park. Contrast therapy, compression, stretching and a full medical spa in one suite on N 7th St, just south of Greenway.

This is not a page about driving to us. If you live in North Mountain you already drive past us, probably several times a week, and the honest pitch is that you have no idea what is in the suite.

We are at 15414 N 7th St, Suite 4, in Moon Valley Plaza on the east side of 7th Street just south of Greenway. From Lookout Mountain Preserve that is 0.7 miles. From the North Mountain Visitor Center it is two.

You are already here

There is no route to give you. No freeway, no arterial crossing, no exit to watch for. We are the plaza on the east side of 7th Street just south of Greenway, and if you have ever turned in for the parking lot you have been closer to a cold plunge than you realized.

From the Moon Valley and Coral Gables streets it is a few blocks. From the Lookout Mountain trailhead side, Coral Gables Drive brings you straight out onto 7th.

Suite 4. If you are coming straight off a trail, you are dressed correctly.

How far you are coming from

  • Lookout Mountain Preserve trailhead 0.7 miles, about 2 min
  • Moon Valley Country Club 1.3 miles, about 4 min
  • North Mountain Visitor Center, on 7th St 2.0 miles, about 5 min
  • Shaw Butte trailhead, at Central and Cheryl 2.2 miles, about 5 min
  • Dreamy Draw, at the far south end of the preserve 7.7 miles, about 16 min

What to do after the mountain

Cold plunge and hot tub from $25 a session for contrast therapy. Five minutes off Shaw Butte or the Lookout Mountain circumference trail, which is roughly the window in which it does the most good. Your first cold plunge is free.

Compression boots and assisted stretching from $40, for the legs the descent wrecked. The stretching is assisted rather than a mat and a hope, and it is the thing golfers at Moon Valley book most.

Infrared sauna and red light therapy from $40. The saunas need about 45 minutes of warmup, so these are the two worth booking before you set off rather than after.

IV hydration from $169. A summer morning on North Mountain takes more out of you than the mileage suggests, and this is what people book in July when the trail was a bad idea.

Japanese head spa from $130. Not recovery, exactly, but the neighborhood books more of it than anything else on this list.

Botox at $10 a unit, free consultation, two minutes from your house.

The other half of the suite

The lounge is the part that gets people through the door. The rest of the suite is a full medical spa: Botox, Morpheus8 and microneedling, physician-guided weight loss, hormone optimization, peptide therapy, lab work, facials and DiamondGlow, lashes and brows.

Which is the actual argument for living this close. Bloodwork, a weight loss check-in, a Botox touch-up and twenty minutes in the boots is one address and, if you plan it, one visit.

Daily access to the lounge is $149 a month. At under a mile that is a membership you will use, which is a different calculation from the one somebody in Anthem has to make.

Who you will see

Randi Morris, NP, is our medical director and oversees injectables, weight loss, hormones and peptides. The lounge is run by the recovery team, who will know your name quickly whether you like it or not, because you live here.

8 providers, more than 2,600 treatments, and a 4.9 rating across 159 Google reviews.

Hours

9am to 7pm Monday through Friday, 10am to 4pm on Saturday, closed Sunday. If you hike early, the 9am open is usually the quietest hour of the day in the lounge. Book the sauna ahead either way, because it needs about 45 minutes to come up to temperature.

Questions we get from the neighborhood

No. We are named after the neighborhood, not the club, and we have no affiliation with it. The club is 1.3 miles from our door, which is close enough that the question comes up most weeks.

Book it rather than turn up. It takes about a minute online and it means the tub is yours: there is one cold plunge, so it runs one person at a time and a Saturday morning does fill. The sauna is a separate problem: it needs about 45 minutes to come up to temperature, which makes it a book-before-the-hike thing rather than an after one.

That is exactly the case where it is. Daily access is $149 a month against $25 for a single plunge session and $40 for a sauna, compression or red light session, so the math turns over quickly at this distance. First cold plunge is free, so start there.

Moon Valley Plaza, on the east side of 7th Street just south of Greenway, Suite 4. It is the address most locals have driven past for years without registering.

Assisted stretching and compression are the two that suit golf best, and they pair well. Either side of a round works, and before it is worth trying if you have only ever done it after. Contrast therapy in the plunge and hot tub is the other one. None of it needs a consultation.
